About Three Moons Nurture and Care
Hello! I’m Blake Shirk, the founder of Three Moons Nurture and Care. I am a state licensed doula based in Tacoma Washington. My mission is to support families through compassionate childcare and doula services in the Puget Sound area.
My journey into this field began when I was exploring my career options and discovered a passion for nannying. This experience ignited my desire to help families, leading me to expand my knowledge in pregnancy and birth with the guidance of a doula mentor and DONA approved trainings.
I believe in fostering a safe and empowering environment for both parents and children, with a focus on kindness, communication, and education. The combination of offering childcare and postpartum support has been an incredibly rewarding journey. I’ve always been a people person, motivated by the desire to be of service, and I feel fortunate to have found that through my work.
I am dedicated to being a trusted partner in your parenting journey, from pregnancy through childhood. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your family!

“Blake is a caring and talented nanny who has had a wonderfully positive impact on our child. She was always willing to help around the house, and we never questioned whether our son was safe and cared for while under her supervision. We are grateful for her contributions and highly recommend her to any family seeking a compassionate caregiver.”

“We are tremendously grateful to have had Blake to support our family transition from brand new newborn to baby who sleeps through the night, which was our primary goal when we started looking for a nanny. Blake is superbly friendly, intelligent, conscientious, kind, generous, and professional. She was always on time, always communicated clearly about her availability, and was personable and open. She is a remarkable and lovely nanny and person and any family would be lucky to work with her.”

“Our son was always calm in her hands, and he developed good sleep habits thanks to her. Her knowledge of newborn care/safety/development and postpartum recovery is truly outstanding. We were constantly asking for her advice and product recommendations. If you're looking for an overnight doula who is cheerful, reliable, knowledgeable, and just wonderful to have in your home during the hardest stretch of new parenthood, that's Blake!”

“As a first-time mom, postpartum has come with a lot of anxiety, and Blake has been an incredible source of reassurance and calm for me as well. She is always there to remind me that things are okay, to talk me through worries, and to help me feel more confident as a mom. Having someone with her extensive childcare and infant care experience by my side during this time has made all the difference and has been truly invaluable during postpartum.”

“In her work with our child, we have appreciated Blake’s patient, calm, and playful demeanor – she never seemed flustered and always brought positive energy to our home. Her knowledge of Montessori methods was useful in creating exciting and beneficial ways to play and she worked alongside us to emphasize certain skills during play to align with developmental stages of our son. Her knowledge and experience managing baby sleep training and baby sleep schedules was vital for us as well, she caught on quickly to our child’s unique sleep needs and temperament, and we could trust her fully to manage his schedule. We also found Blake to be considerate in her tidiness, communicative, professional, and flexible with changes to schedules or needs. Most importantly, we felt completely at ease with Blake taking care of our child, we knew he was safe and loved by a competent, confident, and caring individual.”
