Timing and Pricing

Once we sign on I am on call for your labor early, late, or right on time! I will be at your home within two hours of contact. My rate covers up to 40hrs of support starting from the time I arrive at your home. After 40hrs of care my overtime rate, dependent on number of children, applies for any working hours, and my on call rate for any downtime.

This will look different for each family. For example if the 40hrs of base care is up and your kiddos are in school or daycare I will provide transportation to and from school. Then return to your home and do meal prep and tidying. Once my housework is complete I will take on-call time at my home until kiddo pick up.

If kiddo(s) are not school aged I will remain in the home until a parent or family member is able to return home.

How it works

For sibling doula support I like to do 2-4 babysitting shifts before EDD. I want your sibling(s) to know me and feel comfortable with me before the big day. This also helps me get familiar with the home and kiddo routines. I can ask any questions before your labor so you and your support team can focus on brining your new one into the world!

Once we have had a couple babysitting shifts and feel its a good fit we will sign on. Half of the base rate is due at sign on. The other half plus any additional hours are due at the end of the shift.

Rates

Base Rate: $1800 covers up to 40hrs of support

Additional hours: $45 One Child

$52.5 Two Children

$60 Three+ Children

Additional Hours On Call Rate: $20/hr for any hours i’m at home but still the only one available for childcare, if kiddos are at school or daycare
